The Faro shuffle combines two important shuffeling basics perfectly: efficiancy and esthetics. It is considered an act of magic to shuffle it perfectly, since a perfect Faro shuffle is when the pack is first devided into two halfs, and then they are to be shuffled like a zipper. Theoreticly, if you preform the Faro shuffle perfectly on a deck of cards in its original order 8 times in a row - you will return to the original order of cards after the 8th time.
