Phil Gordon shares an important strategic tip based on the assumption that when you check your cards for the first time, you are being watched by the other players who may decide to see the flop according to the way you react to your own hand.
There might be a slight disadvantage in this method, of you being the one everybody is looking at when it's your turn. You could say that if some folded because they couldn't tell anything about your hand - than yes, maybe something is earned. But still, the real competition is against the ones who hadn't folded (yet). |
